World's Fair MarinaThe World's Fair Marina was constructed for the 1964 New York World's Fair. The Fair's theme was "Peace through Understanding" and dedicated to "Man's Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe." The Worlds Fair Marina is located on the northern edge of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park area in Queens, New York. Just north of Citi-Field, home of the NY Mets and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, home of the US Open. Conveniently, located next to the Grand Central Parkway. Since 1999, the World's Fair Marina has been operated by the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation. The Marina can accommodate 800 boats. The Marina has a boat and kayak launch, and a ferry landing.
